Twilight Add Romania to a growing list of partners

Twilight Community Group Kilkenny’s charitable organisation involved in community development programmes made new friends as they extend and grow their Organisation in Europe. New Members to the Growing group are Wild Carpathia of Sighisoara, Transylvania, Romania as they visited Kilkenny and signed the Friendship Agreement. This will lead to the development of new and exciting projects for children & student exchange programmes, sports partnerships, senior programmes through the Newpark Seniors Alliance under guidance of Mr Frank Cody Twilight’s Community Liaison Officer.


 

 

 

 

 

This Partnership was the brain child of the Twilight Consultant Mr. Liviu Iftime after he and a Twilight delegation met the Romanian Ambassador H.E Mrs. Manuela Breazu Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Ireland. With her cooperation and advice she advised the group to work with the Sighisoara, Transylvania as like Kilkenny it to is a beautiful Medieval City with wonderful small streets lane ways, and of course the home of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. A distance relative of Bram Stoker is local businessman Mr Frank Salmon whose wonderful children’s story book “Hamalot” has generated great interest in Romanian. Our guests were overwhelmed to meet Frank in County hall at the sighing of the Charter of Friendship which was witnessed by Vice Chairperson of County Council Mr Andrew Mc Guinness who is a frequent visitor to Romanian
The Romanian Delegation and signatures on the Agreement were Alexandra Negrei, President Wild Carparthia , and Florenina Marcus Coordinator de voluntary si projecte internationale pentru associate Wild Carparthia. This agreement will now see both partners working on projects of joint interest with Community to the fore of all their activities. Over the next few Months the two partners will explore the possibility of a student exchange programmes involving Sports, Arts Cultural.
Through the European Erasmus plus programme exciting days are ahead for the Twilight Community Group and the Wild Carpathia and the other Partners from Morocco, France, Poland and beyond
