The residents of one of Kilkenny City’s oldest housing estate celebrated the 60th Anniversary of the residents getting the keys to their new homes. Many of the original Families still live in the estate and their children have returned to but the house around the corner from their parents. It has an incredible community spirit where no family went without as the all would gather round to help those who need it most. An great evening of entertainment was had by one and all in the O’Loughlin Gaels Gym that was turned into an incredible ballroom for the night that even the 5 star hotels of Kilkenny would have found it hard to match. Irish TV was there to enjoy the occasion and build up, and facebook page led the build up with stories and videos of times gone And the organising committee put together a wonderful History book of facts and figures of the days of yore.
